A fortification has existed on the site of Inverness #Castle since at least the 11th century AD. It was rebuilt into an 18th century citadel, known as Fort George, following the first #Jacobite rebellion & 100 years later was converted into a neo-Norman style structure. #Scotland https://t.co/MmIq7J0NLD
